Who We Are…
Dr. Sawka was born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Dr. Sawka has 20 years of clinical and emergency medicine experience. In 2006 she started up Animal Ark a house call Veterinary service. Dr. Sawka is a member of the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association, where she has served as Public Image Representative, and is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. She has also worked for the Winnipeg Humane Society travelling up north to Churchill, Manitoba to do Spay and Neuter Clinics. Dr. Sawka still travels up to Churchill for Vaccination Clinics yearly with Animal Ark. She also enjoys helping out the East Beaches Animal Shelter in the Victoria Beach and Traverse Bay, Manitoba area.
Dr. Sawka enjoys hiking, jogging, and gardening. She and her family share their home with their dog Chewy, two cats Frank and Laser, and a snake named Sniper.
